What makes EIM Adventures different?
EIM Adventures is not a traditional travel company. We’re a social enterprise with education at our roots. Our mission is to create fun and meaningful employment for English-speaking adults in Haiti, by creating fun and meaningful volunteer experiences for you.
To do this, we hire and train guides from one of Haiti’s top English schools – English in Mind Institute (EIM). Beyond providing jobs, the proceeds from our trips also go back into EIM, helping the school to both expand, and remain affordable.
What should I expect on a trip?
Forget private SUVs and secluded resorts, every EIM Adventures trip is designed to be as authentic as possible — giving you a first-hand journey into the culture, food, music, and landscapes that make this country so incredible. Although safety is our top concern, we also don’t shelter our volunteers from the day-to-day realities of Haiti. Instead, we strive to provide a truly immersive experience that goes beyond the headlines and entices you to come back again and again. In fact, we’re proud to say that nearly 40% of all our volunteers have returned to Haiti for a second (or third or fourth or fifth…) visit.
